Baptist Memorial Hospital - Huntingdon

Baptist Memorial Health Care operates 14 hospitals in West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and Northeast Arkansas. With more than 12,000 full-time equivalent employees, Baptist serves the medical needs of its communities, while also playing a significant role in area economies.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon became affiliated with Baptist in 1983 and was rebuilt in 1986. The hospital contains 70 licensed beds and has approximately 155 full-time equivalent employees. During fiscal year 2012, the hospital recorded 7,679 emergency room visits, 573 surgeries, and 657 discharges.

A study conducted by the Sparks Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Memphis showed the economic impact of Baptist on the surrounding local economies. The total production of goods and services created by Baptist Huntingdon was valued at more than $17 million; total salaries, wages, and benefits valued $6 million; state and local taxes generated by the hospital was almost $600,000; and more than 150 full and part time jobs were created.
