Baptist Rehabilitation - Germantown

Baptist Memorial Health Care operates 14 hospitals in West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and Northeast Arkansas. With more than 12,000 full-time equivalent employees, Baptist serves the medical needs of its communities, while also playing a significant role in area economies.

Baptist Rehabilitation-Germantown has approximately 300 full-time employees. In fiscal year 2012, the inpatient average daily census was 37, with 1,042 discharges during the year. The hospital provides a variety of rehabilitation services such as a diabetes education center, a Lymphedema program, a massage therapy program, occupational medicine, pediatric rehabilitation, and sports medicine.

A study conducted by the Sparks Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Memphis showed the economic impact of Baptist on the surrounding local economies. The total production of goods and services created by Baptist Rehab-Germantown was valued at more than $44.5 million; total salaries, wages, and benefits valued $19 million; state and local taxes generated by the hospital was almost $1.5 million; and more than 330 full and part time jobs were created.
